About

Ivana Strajin is a Toronto-based writer, director, and film editor. Born in Belgrade and raised in Canada, she works across narrative and documentary storytelling, with a focus on character-driven and comedic filmmaking. Her short film Unhinged premiered at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival in 2023. Ivana recently edited a feature-length documentary, How She Dares, which is currently screening internationally.

As a picture editor, she specializes in shaping narrative structure and finding the story hiding in hours of footage (which is usually there, even if it’s buried).
She studied and worked in Boston and Los Angeles before returning to Toronto, where she continues to direct and edit independent films.
